We at South Suburban Christian Center, in Matteson IL, are committed to the ministry of Jesus Christ. Our sole purpose for ministry is to lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, by presenting the Gospel Message, while at the same time, meeting the social and physical needs of people.
We look to God in prayer, and through His Word, to birth what outreach He intends for us as a Church to pursue. We look to God for His direction and His provision as we implement these ministries that will reach our communities.
These are the goals of the South Suburban Christian Center Pastoral Staff and it’s Deacon Board:
1. To be Godly examples in everything we do.
2. To oversee the Spiritual life of the congregation -
children, youth, and adults.
3. To oversee the harmony of the Church.
4. To oversee the unity of the believers.
5. To oversee the care for new converts.
These are our goals for our Worship Services:
1. Worship: Ministry unto the Lord
2. Edification and Education: Ministry to individual
believers
These are our goals for every ministry at South Suburban Christian Center:
1. To reach the lost with the Gospel Message.
2. To build up our faith- and prepare us for the work of the
ministry.
3. To meet the spiritual, social and physical needs of our
community.
We recognize the importance of redeeming the time we have left before the Coming of Jesus Christ. We also recognize the value of a soul. We do not take lightly this calling that God has on this church and us as His people, therefore we are committing ourselves to reach the lost, whatever the cost.
