Children’s Ministry

KidZone meets together each Sunday at 10:30am. Your kids will experience “who God is” through praise and worship, drama, puppets, object lessons, and the interactive teaching of God’s Word!

The purpose of this ministry is to partner with parents as we prepare our next generation to serve the Lord with all of their hearts. It is a program of teaching, training and discipleship at age-appropriate levels.

KidZone meets the needs of all age groups.

About Our Staff
All of our teachers and caregivers are regular attendees of South Suburban Christian Center and commit their time to sharing the love of Jesus with your child. “We’re not just babysitting… We’re forming minds spiritually for the next generation.”

First Steps Nursery - Infants
Our goal is to minister to our babies, and to take every precaution to make sure your child is safe in our nursery.

We use a vibrating pager system which allows us to notify you immediately, should your child need you. A secure check-in/check-out procedure is used every week and our nursery is child-proof and full of age-appropriate toys.

We’re teaching our kids to stay on God’s path!

Prize Corner…
Each quarter, our kids have a chance to win prizes by earning tickets.

Here’s what they have to do:
•Learn their power verse: 3 tickets
•Bring their Bible: 2 tickets
•Bring a friend: 15 tickets
•And more!!!

At the end of the quarter, the prize winner is the one with the most tickets!

Wednesday Night:

Each Wednesday night is “Family Night,” where our families worship the Lord together. Here we want our children to learn how to sit in a service; to experience God’s presence in the time of Worship; to learn how to hear from the Lord through the preaching of His Word; and to be given an opportunity to answer His call during the altar times.

Our children will take communion with their families, be given an opportunity to participate in the services, and experience the gifts of the Spirit in operation.
