Be sure the rapture will find you out!

What a powerful statement! After the rapture, every hypocrite will be exposed…makes me shudder thinking about it. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to miss the coming of the Lord.

This Sunday, I will begin a series of messages on End Times. Be in prayer…invite family and friends…you will be challenged, as we look at what is coming according to God’s Word.

Relax!

Relax…let God be God…He knows what He’s doing. Quit trying to control your situation, and give it over to the Lord. Let Him be in control; it’s going to work out for your good. Be free from worry…be free from fear…and let the Holy Spirit fill you with the peace that passes all understanding.

The “Power of the Cross!”

Have you ever heard of the expression, “Soldiers of the Cross?” What does this mean? It simply means this: When you said yes to Jesus, you signed the dotted line for military service. ALL CHRISTIANS have been called to do battle with the forces of satan and evil. Now before you go AWOL, let me remind you that this war has already been won. Yes, we win! (I hope you read the end of the Book)

Many times, as we face these so called victorious battles, it seems like the enemy beats us pretty good, and we find ourselves retreating into our homes, into our corners, and for many, into depression. I have a word for you today; get back up, get back into the battle, take your armor with the sword of the Spirit, tap into the power of prayer, and YOU WILL WIN!

The only way satan can defeat you today is through deception. Don’t be deceived into thinking that you are defeated. You are not defeated. You are on the winning team. Rejoice in this truth. Rejoice in the fact that in Christ, there is the finished work. Rejoice today, that ultimately, the battle is the Lord’s. Rejoice in the fact that the war has already been won. Rejoice and again I say rejoice. Praise the Lord!

What kind of impact!

Here is a thought…what kind of impact are you making on others? What are you known for to those around you? Are you known for being Godly…a man or woman of faith…a man or woman willing to give to others? Or, are you known for the other things…you know what I mean.

Whatever we do, let’s live determined to be a Godly impact to anyone and everyone God places into our lives.

We are victorious!

God is watching over us; He is upholding us; He is keeping us, and we are and will be victorious. God who measured the universe with the palm of His hand; the one who breathed the stars and called each by name; is the same One who is keeping us with His great might and power.

I love what Paul said, “If God be for us, who can be against us.” To think that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind.” Let’s live today with boldness and confidence. Let’s live today with the fact that we abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He is our strength, He is our shield, He is our ever present help in our time of Need. Praise His name forever and ever.

Watch out!

One of the greatest mistakes we make as Christians is letting our guard down after a wonderful spiritual victory. We forget that satan though defeated in this battle, is by no means easily
expelled. He will lurk in our habits, and hide in the recess of our minds. He will rally his forces, doing everything he can to recover the ground he has lost in our lives. He is a master strategist, as he goes from a roaring lion, to a cunning serpent, to an angel of light.

Peter would warn us to be sober, be vigilant, because our adversary the devil, is like a roaring lion, who walks about, looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) We can’t let our guards down. We
must stay alert, keeping watch at all times.

Incredible!

What a poweful service last night, as the King of Glory stepped in…to edified, encouraged, and challenged through the gifts of the Spirit…to see the people respond at the altar of prayer…to watch our kids kneeling and praying at the altar…to see the parent’s and other adults praying over them…INCREDIBLE!

You are a great man/woman of God!

There are so many of us who see ourselves through the world’s eyes. We see our past failures, our short comings, and our numerous inadequacies. We see ourselves as not being successful. Many of us have been told that we are failures; we will never amount to anything. And all of this drives us into a shell of despair, never venturing out beyond what we think we are capable of.

Yet, I want to remind you, that this world does not dictate the definition of success. Success is in the eye of the beholder…and in God’s eyes, you are not a loser; you are not a failure; you are not unsuccessful. Let’s live our lives the way God sees us, not the way we see ourselves, or the way the world sees us. You are a mighty man or woman of God!

Just give up!

One of the greatest acts of faith, and the greatest way to peace, is when we finally let go and let God. Yet, for some reason, this seems to be the last resort for most believers. Life hits them with a sudden blow, and they spend the next few hours, days, weeks, months, years, trying to figure their way out and through it. Then one day it hits them, “Why not let go and let God have it.”

I love what Paul said, “…I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”
(2 Timothy 1:12 KJV) This tells me that God can only keep what we commit to Him. How about this, why not take that problem, commit it to the Lord, and let it go. What have you got to lose?

Filled with His Word!

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. (Luke 17:5 KJV)

The apostles asked Jesus to “Increase their faith.” Yet Jesus never tells them how. He tells them, “If you have faith as a grain of
mustard seed…” So can we deduct from this, that what they were asking is impossible? Can our faith be increased?

Paul writes that God has given every man a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3) He then tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing, by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17) Why is this so important to our faith? Our minds are constantly being bombarded, whether it is
at work, in from of the television, reading a newspaper, or what others are speaking to us. These things fill our minds, and begin to shape and mold us, whether we believe it or not. No wonder Paul would tell us that transformation comes by renewing our minds. (Romans 12:2)

How can we renew our minds? By filling our minds with the Word of God. When we fill our minds with God things, we find instruction, correction, and it becomes profitable in our lives. Our faith begins to grow and become as we renew our minds with God’s Word. When God shakes the earth, so what, we are standing on God’s Word. When life’s trials and tribulations come our way, we will be able to handle it, because we are standing on God’s Word.

A victorious Christian, a conquering Christian, a devil stomping Christian, a soul winning Christian, a Christian filled with Joy and
Peace, is one who is seeing their faith grow, by constantly renewing their minds with the living Word of God.
