Text: Hebrews 5:11-14
Many of us are “stuck” in our spiritual life and God wants us to go deeper. Our growth in Christ not only depends on the Pastor. . .it also depends on us! It’s up to us to move forward and not become sluggish and slow in the things of God. When the “dull of hearing” kicks in, the drifting begins. We don’t want to be challenged in our sin. We don’t want to be told about the REAL Jesus. We don’t want anyone to tell us that we need to change. But, a real encounter with Jesus will bring about a change, from the inside out! God wants us to grab hold of His Truth and apply it to our lives. He wants us to grow spiritually, but it’s up to us to open our Bibles and be nourished by the Word of God. It’s time to get off the “milk” and start feeding on the “meat”. Those who don’t move forward, who don’t have an understanding of the Word, and who are happy where they are spiritually, are easy prey for satan. They continue to walk deceived and they don’t care. By choice, they have decided to remain ignorant to the things of the Lord.
God wants us to be mature in the things of the Lord. . .continually pressing forward. It’s a call to maturity!
