Text: Matthew 4:17-22
We can go to church, be members of a church, and tithe, but still not have Jesus in our lives. Wherever we go, people need to see Jesus in us. We say we’re saved, but there can be things in our lives that are destroying us. We compromise our relationship with the Lord. Jesus needs to be our Standard. Jesus is calling us today to come out from among those in the world. To be a believer in Christ, there is a cost to pay, but there is a great reward! The Word of the Lord is. . .REPENT! To follow Jesus, we must repent, turn away from our sin, turn to Jesus and leave everything behind. Jesus needs to be #1 in our lives. He gave His life for us and He is saying, “Come! Follow me!” Saying we’re saved is not enough. We must follow Him. To follow Him, we must forsake all. Let’s leave all the worldly things behind and follow Jesus! Don’t procrastinate! The Kingdom of God is at hand. To be like Jesus! That’s all we should want, is to be like Him!
