Text: Galatians 5:2-6
Over the years, things have been added to the Gospel, that it doesn’t look like the Gospel anymore. It has actually taken people away from the Truth! It was never meant to be changed! Legalism is believing salvation through works. It focuses on the do’s and don’t’s instead of the relationship. The heart isn’t in it! It misses the mercy, grace, and love of God. When we start making man-made rules, which are false doctrine, we are in trouble. God is looking for a truly submitted heart. If we are depending on ourselves and not on Jesus, Christ is of no benefit to us. We need Jesus and we need to know the Truth! Our job is to point others to Christ. . . not to give them a bunch of do’s and don’t’s. We rely on God’s grace and mercy. Let’s guard our hearts from false doctrine and cling to the Truth! God’s Word is Truth and we don’t have to add anything to it. It’s perfect the way it is. He is all we need!
