Text: Luke 11:1
God has put His special touch on prayer. We are learners and followers of Christ and our job is to get to know our Lord. Jesus did a lot of private praying. If Jesus needed to pray, how much more do we need to pray! The Lord’s prayer is our guidance. We go to our secret place to talk to our Father, who is in heaven. His Name is Holy. We are talking to a Holy God. He knows EVERYTHING about us. Even the number of hairs on our head. We pray His Kingdom come so His will be done here on earth. His will over our will. He is the only One who can change things! We are a rebellious people. God wants us to stay in the present. He will provide for us day by day. God will take care of us. When we sin, God will forgive us. We can’t sit on our sin when we ask forgiveness. God is full of forgiveness and we should be, too. We need to walk in forgiveness. We can pray for God to keep us from temptation. We, as children of God, do not enjoy doing wrong. So, let’s pray continually, because prayer changes EVERYTHING!
