The Father’s Business

We all make resolutions for the new year. But, what is the resolution God is telling us to make? We have to be “about the Father’s business.” We should want our children to be “about the Father’s business.” There are so many things in this world pulling for our attention. We have so much to contend with. While we’re living at ease and comfortable, the enemy comes in and starts sowing seeds. He will not quit! He is a full-time enemy! We are not on a cruise ship. It’s a battleship! We are in a fight! The Bible tells us to watch and pray. Our spirit is willing, but our flesh is weak. The enemy wants to lull us to sleep in this war. If we’re not praying, we’re playing. If we’re not praying, we’re straying. Praying takes work and commitment. We all have loved ones who don’t know the Lord. Let’s all say, “In 2019, I’m getting serious about the Father’s business!”
